Reggie..."Tip's Say Boom Baby!"

Tip's Say Boom Baby! was bred by us and is out of Karen Temple's CH Temple's The Color of Money and our Mazzy.  Reggie is a lovely boy with wonderful movement and type.  Reggie's pedigree is below.

UPDATE:  Reggie has been doing very well in the ring!   He has shown for three weekends and took BOW in all but one show!  BIG thank you to my best friend Karen Temple for showing Reggie for us.  Karen you are the best!

UPDATE:   Reggie went fourth in the open class at the Chihuahua Club of America's specialty in October!  Not bad for a beginner!  Thanks again to Karen for showing and loving Reggie.  Afterall, if not for Karen and her "Gold" we would not have our lovely boy.  Photo on our "Contenders" page.

UPDATE:  12/8/07  We are very sad to report that Reggie has suffered an injury that will keep him out of the ring for a while.  His coat had to be partially shaved and we'll have to wait for his coat to grow back. 

UPDATE:  5/2/08  Reggie is back! 

First show back, Reggie took WD for two points at the Terre Haute Kennel Club show in April.

                             Above is our GSD puppy, Boris.  He will be taking on

                          the responsibility of "chihuahua protector", following in

                        the footsteps of our beloved Gabriel (see rainbow bridge).

 

 

 

And slightly off-topic...

NOTE:  Please be advised that it is usually not wise to keep a large breed with the tiny toy breeds.  I have spent over fifteen years with both breeds together and have equal years of experience in obedience training and general canine behavior and apply these on a daily basis.  From day one my gsd puppy begins training to ensure he is not only gentle and careful but understands that the chihuahuas are an exception to the rules of dogdom, so to speak.  Raising a single large breed puppy with toys is a serious everyday committment to training and helping the large breed understand that chis are not to be interacted with on the same level as other puppies or dogs of his size.  Please understand this is not something one can do properly (read safely) without an expert knowledge of canine behavior.   That is not meant to read as boastfull - not at all.  Dogs have been my life for many, many years.  Dogs are what I know best.

 

Furthurmore, I can provide training locally for those who need help with any breed of dog regardless of situation.  I can also answer any training questions via email but please know that this is not nearly as effective as actually being present in the dog's environment and I can only make suggestions based off of what the human tells me as opposed to what the dog tells me.  BIG, BIG DIFFERENCE.  If you need assistence and are not located nearby, please locate a trainer near you with experience and a training  philosophy based on positive reinforcement and understanding.  I do not advocate the use of "choke chains" or slip collars as they are sometimes called.

As always and with any breed, I highly recommend you educate yourself regarding canine behavior.
