NOTE: I do not use the term "sell". The idea of putting a price on a living creature is not to my liking. Think along the lines of saying "it" when
referring to a dog. I hate that. A chair is an "it" - NOT a dog. When a
couple adopts a baby you never hear them say "it is three months old".
It should be no different with any other animal - yes - humans ARE animals
too. We place our dogs or adopt them out. If you do not agree with this
logic, go elsewhere.
All fees go straight to the dogs.
If you are seriously interested in adopting a chi from us, these are some of the questions we will ask. Please do not be intimidated by these questions as they are simply a way for me to get to know those interested and insure the best placement for both human and dog. For instance, an older couple might prefer a more submissive and laid-back dog whereas a young couple might like a chi they can enter in agility or obedience, or simply an energetic ball-chaser,etc. A couple with older children might prefer a chi on the larger end of the weight limit.
If you would like, copy and paste to an email with answers. Make sure you put "puppies" or "chihuahuas" in the subject line.
I welcome all inquiries.
1. How many (persons and dogs) are in your household and what are their ages?
2. What breed(s) or mix(es) do you have currently?
3. What do you feed your dog(s)? And are you willing to maintain your prospective puppy or dog at a lean weight?
4. Do you believe in annual boosters(vaccinations) for your dog(s)?
5. Are you familiar with using a crate for potty-training?
6. Is there someone (human or non-human) home during the day for companionship?
7. Do you have a fenced back yard or similar means of containment?
8. Are you interested in a puppy, adult, male or female? Are color or markings important? Long or smooth coat? If so, state your preferences.
9. Have you ever had to find a new home for a dog and if so, why?
10. Are you willing to educate yourself on canine behavior if you are unexperienced?
11. If you have never had a puppy are you willing to have "accidents" on your floor? (as this is inevitable.)
12. Are you willing to stay in contact with the breeder?
13. Do you have any "outside" dogs and if so how are they kept on your property?
14. Do you plan on having children soon?
15. Do you own your home or rent?

PLEASE NOTE!!:
We breed chihuahuas of only the finest quality and pedigrees. This means very typey and with excellent ineages. However, overall soundness is the most important factor. No matter how pretty the pedigree, if the dog isn't both physically and mentally sound we have no use for him/her in our breeding program. We provide our chis with only the finest quality biologically appropriate diet as we strive to create a chihuahua line that is not only gorgeous but very healthy for generations to come.
Our breeding program is strict and we often have a young adult or two available to a good home.
We are not only ethical and careful concerning our dogs but also in our dealings with people and thus maintain very reasonable pricing adoption fees and lifetime support.
We want YOU to be happy but most importantly, we want our chis to be
happy and will be available throughout the life of your dog for any questions, concerns, or helpful advice.
References and pedigrees available.
